How do I reset my filter status indicator light?
Amana - press and hold the dispenser lock and auto light buttons on the dispenser (at the same time) for 4 seconds until the filter status indicator begins to flash, then release the buttons. On some Amana fridges you need to press the dispenser lock and water buttons for 4 seconds until the filter status indicator begins to flash, then release the buttons.
Frigidaire - press and hold the reset button on the dispenser until the green light flashes (up to 15 seconds).
GE and Hotpoint - press and hold the reset water filter button on the dispenser for 3 seconds.
Maytag and Jenn-Air - press and hold the lock and light buttons (lock and water on newer fridges) on the dispenser for about 4 seconds, until the indicator light blinks.
Whirlpool and KitchenAid - press the light switch 5 times within 10 seconds. If the fridge has a filter button, press and hold it for 5-10 seconds.
How do I change the filter?
Each filter has easy to follow instructions included with the package. Most are as easy as pushing a button until the filter pops out, or pushing in and making a quarter of a turn. However if you have any other concerns we would be glad to walk you through your particular situation.
How do I know if I am ordering the right filter?
Each filter has the number or numbers or the filters that it replaces. But if you are not sure you can always contact us with your question and we will make sure you get the correct water filter for your refrigerator.
What if I get the wrong filter?
If we send you the wrong filter, or if there was an error on our site that caused you to get the wrong filter, we will gladly refund you the entire purchase including shipping and get you the right filter sent out immediately.

How long is the shelf life for a water filter?
None of the filters that we sell have an expiration date. So purchasing the 3 or 6 packs are good way to stock up for the future.
How do I know if my refrigerator has a water filter?
If your refrigerator has a water filter it will be located in one of three places:
An oil filter shaped cylinder hanging from the back of the refrigerator compartment
In the grille at the bottom of the refrigerator.
In a drop down compartment in the top of the refrigerator compartment.
You can also get in line water filters if your refrigerator does not have a factory installed version. Contact us for the right option for you.
